The movie recounts the adventures of Gustave H., a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune -- all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.
The Grand Budapest Hotel has an amzing cast of characters in the story and the actors who play then are absolutely phenominal. Ralph Fiennes has been cast by Anderson in the leading role of Gustave H. the renowned and legendary Concierge of the hotel, with relative newcomer Tony Revolori in a major tole as Zero The Lobby Boy and Gustave's sidekick. Edward Norton plays a military figure who new Gausatve H. as a young boy at the hotel, he helps Gustave out of a predicament early on in the film but is later forced to persue him.
The rest of the great cast of actors finds F. Murray ABrahms (narrating) telling the story of his life to a guest (Jude Law) stayiing at the hotel over dinner one night. This is how the entire story and movie unfolds, complete with; a murder, a reading of a will, a art theft and adventure and hijinx ensue.
