  Blame the bad taste in Yankees fans’ mouths on the chef. Martha Stewart had one of the best seats in the house for Michael Pineda’s near-perfect game in the Yankees’ 8-1 rout of the Rays on Monday afternoon, watching from behind home plate as the righty went unblemished into the seventh inning. Just three minutes before Pineda delivered the fatal pitch to Evan Longoria, who broke up the bid for perfection with a double to left field, the TV icon tweeted an update on Pineda’s invincibility.

Jinxes aside, Stewart is no ignorant Yankees fan. When she was 10 and living outside New York City, Stewart babysat for the kids of Yankees legends Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra.

It seems they never taught her one of baseball’s cardinal rules: Let the perfect game do its own talking/tweeting.
