    Playboy loved her, of course, and did several pictorials on her: One in '67, then another in May of '76, and an appearance in a Playboy special edition calledLeading Ladies in '91. The '67 pictorial was called "The Late Show" and featured four pages of Barbara modeling "turned-on sleepwear for the tuned-in male." Wrote the magazine: "This sleepytime gal plays Betty Anderson Cord, a teenage swinger who grew up to become the town's sultry sophisticate. ... Living doll Barbara, nominated for the Hollywood Women's Press Club Sour Apple Award as least-cooperative actress of the year, obviously was the model of cooperation for Playboy."
